Diego Maradona is recovering well after being admitted into hospital on Wednesday.
The 47-year-old is reportedly undergoing detoxification for alcohol abuse.
Guemes clinic head Hector Pezzella said: "He is progressing well.
"The most important thing is that he gets through this period of excessive alcohol consumption."
